Gonzalo Bergara Quartet

I first discovered Gonzalo Bergara Quartet at the Culver City Music Festival in July 2010. I was instantly taken with the band for their swinging gypsy jazz.

I particularly enjoyed the tenor sax and clarinet work of Rob Hardt. There are two songs featured in the video – the second song "Simplicated" (beginning at time mark 1:57) features a sublime wandering clarinet from Rob at the 3:00 minute mark.

The Culver City Music Festival is a free annual event in its 17th year in 2011. Catch it all month long in July and August in front of in Culver City City Hall Courtyard. Culver City is located in Los Angeles County. (See map below)
